Training & Outreach
The values of Briarwood School are that all pupils should Enjoy their time with us, so that they can Engage and Learn to their full potential. This aim extends to all pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We work passionately to achieve the best outcomes for SEND children and young people across the South West. We offer an inclusive and enriched learning environment for pupils whose needs cannot be met in a mainstream provision and work closely with schools to enrich their offer to pupils with SEND and to those who are struggling with high exclusion rates. Our specialist support will ensure that children can learn undisrupted, in a suitable space for their needs. We specialise in supporting pupils with learning difficulties (severe to profound), autism, medial needs, global developmental delay, complex needs, sensory processing needs and genetic disorders.
We aim to provide effective early intervention and work with colleagues in mainstream primary schools to support and manage children identified as having any of the needs listed above. Working together, we aim to advise and support schools to plan and implement provision so that children with SEND improve their overall outcomes, attendance and engagement.
We can offer direct outreach support for individual pupils, whole needs provision analysis, SEND audits and training opportunities. Please click the links below to find out more.
